In this era of Information Technology, Hee Bermiok constituency which is situated at the west district of Sikkim state has a Community Information Centre at Hee-Bazar which is run by Department of Information Technology Government of Sikkim. One can go to this Community Information Centre and can surf the net and know the latest happening around the globe.

OBJECTIVES:

1      To make people of this locality aware of computer and related technology.

2      Easy assess to various documents and forms of public utility.

3      To provide computer education to rural-poor, dropouts, members of panchayats, local gentries and students.

4      To provide net facility among user of this locality.

5      To bridge the gap of people despite time and space.

PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE: 

Number of Rooms: 

A large room provided by the Panchayat Ghar is partitioned into a training hall and a small room for server.

Computer System and Electric Appliances:

There are six computers, five of them are clients and one server along with one router, two UPS, a generator, Air Conditioner, Stabilizer for AC, two Printers, CD Writer, Modem, Web cam and a V-SAT.

Computer System and Its Facility:

The general public use four machines for training and for browsing the internet which helps them to know about the computer and get information from internet on various topics.

TRAINING FACILITIES: 

        CIC Hee-Yangthang provides training for the students and Govt. Employees who has interest in learning computers. There is 36 hours  training covering basic of computers and internet. Both theory and practical classes are done.
