A release informs that the Mountain Bikers will have to race over 30Kms of mettalled and un-metalled roads and 13Kms of a route especially constructed for mountain bikes, passing through looming alpine forest up to an altitude of 2,700 meteres to reach Sammatar in the Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary.

The Championship is open to all and the participants will be provided a 9Kms un-metalled stretch along with the mountain bike route mentioned above as a training site. The championship is being organised by the Hee Bermiok Tourism Development & Heritage Conservation Society in co-partnership with Nepal Mountain Bike Tours.

HEE-BERMIOK HERITAGE & TOURISM FESTIVALS is the annual festivals organised in Hee Bermiok by the Hee Bermiok Tourism Development & Heritage Conservation Society with the help of local organizations, NGOs and various Government Departments. This is the major annual summer event and platform for the peoples of Hee Bermiok to show their ability and culture of the area.

Hee Bermiok Heritage & Tourism Festival 2006

Two Days Hee Bermiok Heritage & Tourism Festival was organised by Hee-Bermiok Tourism Dev. & Heritage Conservation Society, Hee Bermiok on 3rd & 4th December 2007 and which was concluded on Monday 4th December 2006 at Manghim, Martam on the eve of Birth Annivsery of Srijunga Incarnation (Tyognsi Srijunga Singthebe).

This annual winter Festival was inagurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim Dr. Pawan Chamling on the 3rd December 2006. The program was attended by the Members of the Hon'ble Council of Ministers of Sikkim,Hon'ble MLAs, different Head of the Departments of Sikkim Government, Distinguish Guests from Sikkim and surroundings areas and from others parts of country.

The Hon'ble Chief Minister inaugurated the Tourism Guest House at the Upper Hee. The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim Dr. Pawan Chamling also laid the foundation stone of the statue of the MAHATMA SIRIJUGA TEYONGSI at Hee Bermiok on 3rd December 2006. He unveiled the Statue of MAHATMA SIRIJUGA at Martam Bermiok ON 4TH December.

During the program it was also announced that the Summer Festivals will be organised from May 10th 2007 to 13th May 2007 in Hee. The Progarm Guide and Brochure was also launched there.
